PLA has published a new report, Leadership in Prison Education: Meeting the challenges of the new system

Our new report on leadership in prison education is based on interviews with over 50 staff in ten prisons. Senior staff outline the challenges they face managing prison education.  The research also explores whether governors really have autonomy over prison education, and how they can promote a learning culture in their prisons.  With recommendations to improve the delivery of prison education to learners, the research also looks at the importance of partnership working and the lack of involvement from further education colleges in prison education.
